Endless meetings, group projects, midterms, etc. Ever since the first day of Business school, everything has been fast pace, on the go, & deadlines are thrown at you left and right. I guess that’s what it means to be in such a snooty faculty. Lawl. Yes, Business is probably one of the snobbiest faculties on campus if not most. But it is expected and I’m not too overwhelmed by it. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met some awesome people already.
I work really well with lots of people. But this whole thing with group projects is really driving me nuts. I like my groups and am very glad that I have people that are cooperative but finding time that fits everyone’s schedule is VERY difficult. Right now with an Accounting project AND Business Plan due on the SAME day, it’s not really helping. Throw in a couple midterms in between and you have a hectic month of November.
I have a dilemma. They say do what you love and riches will follow, right? Well, for my Marketing presentation, I talked about Vera Wang and Marketing strategies for her bridal collection. At the end of class, my prof told me he really liked my presentation and thought I did a really great job. He also asked me if he could use it as an example in class. I was thrilled and said yes. Marketing is something I’ve considered to major in, not because of the money but because it’s something I would enjoy. And also, the topic I chose was about a bridal collection by Vera Wang - another thing I love, weddings! The point is (and I’m convinced) that because I was very passionate about the topic, I did very well in the presentation thus I got praise from the professor. So, that’s something I’ll be thinking about throughout this semester and into next as well.
