If you’re like me, you probably don’t like spending anything more than $40 on a top. My solution to that? Find doppelgangers.
I’m pretty sure if you find an expensive tee or any other article of clothing that you really like, chances are there will be replicas out there. You don’t have to spend a fortune to look trendy. Yes, you may get a better quality product if you spend a little more but I get bored of my clothes easily. And this is my solution :)
Aritzia Betsy Blouse - $50 I liked this blouse the first time I saw it but just like most trends, everyone started wearing it. I also couldn’t justify spending $50 for an item that probably won’t be popular for a long time. My solution?
Bluenotes Full Lace Swoop Tee - $14 My cousin (we’re actually not related by blood but I’ve called her my cousin all my time) was wearing this blouse. I asked if she bought it from Aritzia and she said, “Nope! Got it at Bluenotes for $14!” I then told her I would go buy it because it’s so cheap for something that looks nearly identical to the blouse at Aritzia. And as I said before, the quality isn’t as good BUT I bought 2 because it was buy 1 get another half off. So I spent $21 +tax, less than $50, for two blouses. Yay!
On Saturday, September 24th, I went to Normand’s for my sister-in-law’s birthday. Now I’ve always wanted to try this place and it’s been around for a while now. Fun fact: my dad worked at Normand’s as a dish washer when he first immigrated to Canada! So anyways, I decided to try the lamb. For a hefty price tag of $34, the lamb didn’t feel as tender or high quality as I had expected. It was delicious nonetheless but I’ve had better. (Red Ox Inn charges $36 for their lamb and it’s very tender and amazingly delicious! Still my fave, hands down!) Besides that, I had a little bit of the frog leg appetizer my friend had, which was pretty good.
Anyways, I feel as though I need to go back again and try something else to make up for the lamb. Maybe just a regular steak. A number of people said the steaks were very good. Another handful also tried the special they had: kangaroo and venison!
